On the occasion of National Cadet Corps (NCC) Day, NCC students of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Vidyalaya Matric Higher Secondary School organized a tobacco control awareness rally in Ondipudur, Coimbatore.

The rally aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco and other addictive substances. It was conducted in collaboration with the 2 TN, ARTD Battery NCC unit under the school’s leadership.

During the rally, students distributed informative pamphlets to the public, highlighting the dangers of tobacco consumption. A total of 400 students from 10 schools and 5 colleges across Coimbatore participated in the event.

At the conclusion of the rally, students delivered speeches emphasizing the health risks and social consequences of substance abuse. The participants carried awareness flags throughout the march, which commenced from Sri Jayendra Saraswathy Vidyalaya and proceeded along S.I.H.S. Colony, covering a distance of 5 km.
