On International Biodiversity Day, our students joined Animal Rescuers and volunteers at a private mall in Sivananthapuram to create the stunning artwork “Born to Fly” using 900 kg of grains over 1,200 sq. ft.
Recognized by the Asia Book of Records as the largest grain artwork in Asia, it highlights the importance of protecting parrots, India’s 12 legally protected parrot species, and raises awareness against keeping them caged.
Gokul from Animal Rescuers said, “Parrots are happiest flying freely in nature—seeing them in the wild brings far more joy than in cages.”
