Mrs. Geetha Sudharshanan, Principal of Sri Jayendra Saraswathy Vidyalaya, Coimbatore, is a B.Ed Economics Post Graduate with 28 years of experience. She has won the Best Principal Award for her exceptional leadership. Mrs. Sudharshanan leads a team of over 100 teachers with humility, dedication, and vision. Our Pre-Primary teachers participated in an in-depth Montessori training programme designed to strengthen child-centred and experiential learning practices. The training clearly explained the core philosophy and objectives of the Montessori method, helping teachers understand how young children learn through exploration and hands-on experiences. Teachers were introduced to a wide range of Montessori materials and received practical guidance on using these tools effectively in the classroom to build independence, concentration, and conceptual clarity. Special emphasis was placed on Montessori Mathematics, where all Mathematics teachers were given detailed, activity-based training to help children develop strong foundational numeracy skills through concrete learning experiences. This training has empowered teachers to create engaging, inclusive, and meaningful learning environments for Pre-Primary students.
Our teachers underwent an intensive Dyslexia Training programme in Chennai, where they gained deep insights into the various challenges faced by children with learning disabilities. The training equipped teachers with the skills to identify early signs of learning difficulties and implement effective classroom strategies to support such learners. Four of our teachers successfully completed the Madras Dyslexia Association (MDA) training and are now qualified as Special Educators. In addition, awareness and hands-on training sessions were conducted for our Pre-Primary and Primary teachers within the school, ensuring inclusive teaching practices and better support for every child’s learning journey.
Our teachers participated in a comprehensive AI tools training programme aimed at enhancing teaching and learning practices through technology. The training focused on how educators can effectively use AI tools to plan lessons, create engaging learning resources, personalize instruction, and assess student understanding. Teachers were introduced to a variety of AI-powered tools suitable for classroom use and were given hands-on, step-by-step guidance to explore their practical applications. Through real-time practice and demonstrations, teachers gained confidence in integrating AI responsibly and creatively into their teaching, making lessons more interactive, efficient, and learner-centred.
Our Pre-Primary and Primary teachers underwent specialized phonetic training to strengthen early literacy skills among young learners. The programme covered phonetic sounds, rhymes, letters and their groups, blending, and word formation, providing teachers with practical strategies to teach reading and writing effectively. Emphasis was placed on developing phonetic awareness and understanding its importance in building strong language foundations. Through interactive sessions and hands-on activities, teachers learned how to implement these techniques in the classroom, making learning engaging, systematic, and fun for students.

Ms. Tejaswini Arun – Psychologist & Secretary, SJSV Institution | Child and Adolescent Psychologist. Holds an M.Sc. in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from University College London (UCL), trained at the Anna Freud Centre and Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Mrs. Shubadha | Psychologist and Special Educator | Over 20 years of experience. Holds valid registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI Registration No: A93765). Certified Professional Supervisor (IAPS) and Certified Family Therapist (Family and Play Therapy Centre, USA).
Shounak is a Counseling Psychologist and the founder of Aatmabodh, an initiative dedicated to youth wellbeing and emotional development. He holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Savitribai Phule Pune University and has been working in the mental-health field for over 10 years. He works with children and adolescents through individual counseling, group sessions, and programs that strengthen emotional awareness, resilience, and healthy communication. His focus includes adolescent mental health, emotional literacy, relationship understanding, and helping young people build clarity about themselves and their experiences.
Along with his therapeutic work, he has also partnered with schools and institutions to enhance their wellbeing practices by supporting them in creating more psychologically informed environments and strengthening the overall climate in which students learn and grow.Over the years, he has collaborated with parents, educators, and school teams to create spaces where young people feel supported, understood, and equipped to navigate challenges with confidence. His work is guided by evidence-based practices and a commitment to the holistic development of every learner.
