Our Roots

Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Vidyalaya (SJSV) was born from the profound vision of our Management Trustee, Mrs. Dhanalakshmi Jayachandran, and guided by the wisdom of the late industrialist Shri D. Balasundaram. Their goal was simple yet revolutionary: to create an educational sanctuary where modern academic excellence is inextricably linked with Indian cultural ethics.

The Vision: “Education for Life, Not Just for Exams”

The founders believed that true education should not be confined to textbooks or the four walls of a classroom. Their vision was to build an institution where:

• Character is the Foundation: To nurture students who are not only intellectually brilliant but also ethically grounded and socially responsible.
• Talent is Diverse: Recognizing that every child possesses a unique gift—be it in the Atal Tinkering Lab, on the cricket field, or in vocational arts. We follow Howard Gardner’s theory because our founders believed every child is “smart” in their own way.
• Global Reach, Indian Heart: To empower students to visit NASA, play cricket in the UK, and master global communication, all while remaining deeply rooted in the values of our heritage.

The Mission Today

Guided by the blessings of HH Jayendra Saraswathy Swamigal, our mission continues to evolve. We strive to provide a 21st-century learning environment through:

• Experiential Learning: Moving beyond rote memory to true understanding (XSEED).
• Sustainability: Teaching students to be stewards of the planet.
