The word Samacheer translates to “Equitable” or “Balanced.” The core philosophy of this system is to bridge the socio-economic gap by providing a common syllabus across all schools in the state.

Social Justice: It ensures that a student in a rural town and a student in a city are learning the same core concepts, leveling the playing field for competitive exams and higher education.

Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE): It moves away from the “rote memory” of a single final exam and instead evaluates a child’s Scholastic (academic) and Co-Scholastic (life skills/values) growth throughout the year.

Inclusivity: The curriculum is designed to be accessible yet robust, ensuring that the “Minimum Levels of Learning” are met by every student while providing room for growth.

Activity Based Learning

In the early years, we move away from “talk and chalk.” Our teachers follow a scientific 5-step process:

• Aim: Defining what the student will learn today.
• Action: A hands-on activity or experiment.
• Analysis: Questioning why things happened the way they did.
